About Mrs. Denise Coules (4C)
I graduated from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign with a B.S. in Finance from the College of Commerce. My first career began at The Northern Trust Bank, and I was a Personal Trust Administrator and a Second Vice President when I decided to become a stay-at-home mother. My husband, Peter, is an attorney, and we have two daughters, Lanie and Madeline. Our girls graduated from SS. Cyril & Methodius, and while they were here, I began working as a teacher’s assistant. This is when I discovered that I love teaching! As I continued to work as an assistant at SSCM, I went to school in the evenings and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University. My middle school endorsements are in English, Social Sciences, and Business. This is my twentieth year at SSCM, and my fourteenth year working as a full-time teacher. The best part of my job is that I get to share my love of reading with my students, and I also get to incorporate my experience in the business world into my teaching style and strategies.
