About Mr. Robert Villesenor ~ Athletics Pre-K through 8th Grade

Mr. Villasenor begins another year as a member of the SS Cyril and Methodius faculty staff. Mr. Villasenor was raised in the Catholic Education setting where he graduated from St. Jude the Apostle Elementary School and St. Francis DeSales High School.  From there, Mr. Villasenor went on to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago on a baseball scholarship.  In 1986, Mr. Villasenor graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  Mr. Villasenor worked for the University of Illinois at Chicago Police Department, and in 2015, retired as a Police Watch Commander.  In 1992, Mr. Villasenor earned a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of Illinois-Chicago, and now serves as the school’s Physical Education teacher, known as Mr. “V”.  In addition, Mr. V also serves as the school’s Athletic Director.  Mr. V has also spent many years centered around baseball where he coached the Mt. Carmel H.S. Varsity Baseball Team from 1990-2000, worked for the Major League Scouting Bureau and has coached for the Lemont Braves and Illinois Sparks Baseball Organizations.  Mr. V also worked as a private pitching instructor for Swingtown Baseball Academy and has helped many high school student-athletes earn baseball scholarships and or Major League Baseball contracts .  Mr. V is grateful to have the opportunity to educate elementary students in the various sport activities provided through Physical Education.
