About Mrs. Danielle West (5W)
I am Danielle West and graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an area of concentration in science. I also have a Masters of Arts in Reading from Governors State University. This is my 21st year teaching at SS. Cyril and Methodius School as well as going on 24 years of teaching experience. I have taught fifth grade for seventeen years and third grade for four years here at SSCM.
Aside from teaching, I am the Aspire Assessment Coordinator for our school assessments and currently working with teachers on starting our new iReady assessments. I also assist with SSCM student council and NJHS programs. In addition to teaching, my family keeps me busy. Both of my daughters are avid swimmers and bakers. Finally, in my free time, I enjoy reading. I am always looking for a new book or series to read, so any suggestions are welcome. I look forward in hearing from you. Have a fantastic school year!
