Technology

Technology Department

SS. Cyril & Methodius has implemented a technology plan that teaches computers, productivity software, applications and tablets to all of our students from K3 through 8th grade. The students learn the basics of how to use the technology as tools to enable them to better utilize their time in the classrooms and prepare them for high school and beyond. Students produce reports, do online research and collaborate on various assignments throughout the school year. In addtion SSCM has implemented various online resources to broaden the scope of what is available. Some of the resources available are: Homework online, Teacher Ease, Accelerated Reader and Mathletics.

Rainbows for all God's Children: Coordinator and Facilitator

My Catholic identity has been greatly influenced by my family, and the philosophy of St. Vincent DePaul with a commitment to educational experience that weaves together mind, place, people and heart.  I have always had the opportunity to volunteer my services at the local school and parish in my community. I have had the pleasure of working at SS. Cyril and Methodius for the last thirteen years in technology, and also am a Eucharistic Minister for our school masses.  I enjoy introducing the students to various educational softwares that enhance their overall productivity and creativity in the classroom.  We do extensive research integrating ideas into the scope of our curriculum as they develop higher levels of critical thinking. I also work as a facilitator for our student Newspaper Club which meets once a week.    This opportunity allows me to mentor them as they express their individual creativity and growth.

I live in Homer Glen with my husband and our loving dog Sparkie.  My son is married and now lives in San Francisco,  I enjoy the outdoors, photography and tracking my family geneology.  I love to relax by cooking and entertaining for my family and friends,
