“Learning Together Through Faith, Kindness and Service……We Are One Body”
It is hard to believe that we are into the second trimester of the school year. All of our teachers met with parents prior to the Thanksgiving break to discuss their child’s progress. It is always great to have the opportunity to meet with our parents. On that same day we had our school’s Thanksgiving Prayer Service. We are including some photos from the service.
Congratulations to our second graders, their parents and teachers. This weekend they joined students from the Religious Education program and received the beautiful Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. On Tuesday, December 12th students from grades 3-8 will also have the opportunity to receive the sacrament as they continue to prepare for Christmas.
The month of December always finds a wide variety of events taking place here in school as we prepare to celebrate Christmas. On Monday, December 4th our school will begin to say special prayers each day as we have entered Advent.
Please mark your calendar for Sunday, January 28th. We will begin our school’s celebration of Catholic Schools’ Week during the 10:30AM Mass. Following the Mass, we invite all current and prospective school families along with all of our parishioners to our Open House and Social in the school!
Over the next several weeks you will begin to hear about the “Invest in Kids Act”. This bipartisan legislation is designed to help provide scholarships for students to attend a non-public school of their choice. Please read the letter included in this week’s bulletin and contact our school office (630-257-6488, ext. 21) if you would like more information.
As always, thank you for your continued support and commitment to our school.
Mrs. S. Tkachuk
