2018-2019 Parent Student Organization

It’s a blessing to have such amazing, dedicated school families who volunteer their time, effort, and talents to the school. The Parent School Organization (aka PSO) is led by a board made up of parent volunteers who ensure school wide events and programs are both possible and a success. The sitting positions are President, 1st and 2nd Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Together, with enthusiastic volunteers from our school family, we plan and organize programs, sponsored events and activities which are outside the school’s operational budget and enhance the school’s curriculum.

These fun, organized activities held throughout the school year are for the children as well as their parents. By hosting some of these events, the PSO is able to provide means for securing school and classroom equipment, educational materials, and resources necessary for the proper support of the school’s educational facilities.

To continue offering and supporting the programs and activities listed below, we graciously ask that each family contributes $25 toward the Parent School Organization. The PSO funds many activities that students look forward to each year, and our activities benefit all the children of our school. Our goal is to have 100% of our school families contribute to the PSO. New this year with each family’s contribution, each family will earn 5 dress down passes!

A new meeting day has been assigned this year. Meetings will now be held on the 2 nd Thursday of each month. It’s tradition that each grade hosts a monthly PSO meeting. Agendas include event and committee updates, progress of programs and fundraisers, Principal’s report, as well as an open forum for questions and socialization. We invite ALL parents to join us at any or all of our meetings each month, however, it is not mandatory. The PSO has designed a fun incentive program that your child will benefit from when a parent attends a meeting. If you are not able to attend the monthly meeting, we would still send you communications and meeting minutes to keep you well-informed of what is going on at school.

Alternatively, you may print and complete the downloadable information form, 2018-2019 PSO family contribution and send it along with payment as cash or check in the amount of $25. Please make check payable to: SSCM PSO and send to the school office, Attn: PSO Contribution.
