Board of Specified Jurisdiction (BSJ)
Several years ago our school began to transition from a having a traditional school board to a Board of Specified Jurisdiction (BSJ). The BSJ is open to all interested parishioners, whether or not you have a child enrolled in our school. Members are involved with one or more identified areas in which they may have an interest and/or previous experience. This leadership group is empowered to act in the following specified areas:
• Executive Committee
• Marketing & Communications
• Legislative Action
• BSJ Member Development
Together, we focus on present needs as well as positioning our school into the future. We support both parish and school activities. Events we are involved in include, but aren’t limited to: Parish Block Party, Trivia Night, Catholic Schools Week, Lenten Fish Frys, Gelsosomo’s Pack the Place, McTeacher Night, Fun Run, and Year End Faculty Luncheon.
Volunteering for Board of Specified Jurisdiction (BSJ)
We hope you will consider volunteering to help our school. For over 125 years it has been one of the most vital ministries within the parish community. The Executive Committee typically meets once per month and sub-committees meet as needed. We welcome questions and are always happy to hear new ideas.
