Technology

SS. Cyril & Methodius has implemented a technology plan that safely introduces our students how to use technology as tools which enable them to better utilize their time in the classrooms.  Students are challenged and prepared  for high school and beyond.  We have Chromebooks and iPads  available to all students.  All students  have access to using school email accounts to develop their skills using Google products, and other various software applications to all of our student from K3 through 8th grade. The students learn the fundamentals of using the technology as tools to enable them to better utilize their time in the classrooms and prepare them for high school and beyond. Students produce reports, do online research, and collaborate on various assignments throughout the school year.  Additionally, SSCM utilizes  Accelerated Reader and Newsela in addition to various online resources and software applications to broaden the scope of our student learning experience.  Our school website, Homework online, and PowerSchool are available to parents as a portal to their students activities and grades.

Cyril & Methodius School has been an official Digital Citizenship Certified School since 2016.  We are committed to continue to stay updated with Common Sense, and move forward with our vision  by creating a strong educational platform to  deepen our students understanding and awareness of the many challenges we face in our digital world.   Our focus on Internet safety, digital footprints, cyber-bullying, copyrighting, and many other relevant topics remain important to developing our students level of competency. https://www.commonsensemedia.org/
