I have an Endorsed Professional Educator License. I am a “Highly Qualified” teacher in Reading.

I enjoy teaching differentiated lessons in both self-contained and departmentalized classroom settings. My experience covers all curriculum areas, including Title 1 Reading, Reading Recovery, and Religious Education.  I’ve been a staff member at both parochial and public schools. This is my 29th year at St. Cyril, but I am proud to say that I‘ve been in education for 40+ years.  Currently, I am the 2nd grade “self-contained” instructor.  I serve as secretary to the Curriculum committee at St. Cyril, co-chair the Junior National Honor Society, assist with editing for the school newspaper, and have been a sacramental trainer for over 29 years.

About me: I grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois, and attended St. Paul of the Cross grade school, Mary Seat of Wisdom grade school, Regina H.S., Maine East Township H.S., and Maine South Township H.S.

I am married, with two grown daughters, and live with my husband of 49 years and four rescue dogs/ one rescue cat. I spend a great deal of time on fundraising and finding adoptive homes for abused animals. In addition to animal rescue, I am a life-line contact for the University of Chicago Hospital, and belong to a team called “In the Pink”. “In the Pink” sponsors events to help fund research for The American Cancer Society. In December ( of 2017) I became a grandma for the first time. Being a grandma is one of God’s special joys. I love teaching, reading, boating, and dinosaurs !!!!!!!!!!
